Welcome to the remarkable journey of how Acoustics by Specfurn, in collaboration with Soundscope, turned a vision into reality at Yeronga Services and Community Club. In this project, we faced challenges, made creative decisions, and ultimately achieved an outstanding transformation that exceeded expectations.

• Colour: Timber with black VJ lines
• Client Brief: Matching architectural renders and project budget with an acoustic solution

Challenges

The project presented several challenges, including changes in the budget and inconsistencies in the ceiling radius. These obstacles required creative solutions to ensure the project’s success.

Proposed Solution

To address the challenges, our team at Acoustics by Specfurn proposed several designs that aligned with the project’s budget and design brief. One of the proposals included the ability to diffuse sound, but it came with a higher cost. Ultimately, we selected a design that used the standard Autex Cube Groove with a custom print overlay. This innovative approach allowed us to black out the groove lines, perfectly matching the architect’s vision while staying within budget.

Outcome

The chosen design exceeded expectations and achieved the project’s goals, elevating the Sports Bar space at Yeronga Services and Community Club to the next level. The warmth of the timber panels beautifully complements other areas of the refurbishment, creating a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing environment.
